Member #1: Lobbying and Petitioning
Member #2: Parades
Member#3: Pageants
Member #4: Picketing and Demonstrations
As you read about your assigned portion, you will use a thinking map (in your thinking map notebook) to jot down important ideas.
You may use these guiding questions to be able to report to your other team members what you have learned about each strategy or tactic.
Guiding Questions:
*Describe the strategy or tactic. What did the suffragists do?
*Why did they use this strategy or tactic?
*Were there any key people significant to these tactics? What did they do?
*What makes this strategy or tactic successful?
PART II
Each member will have 2 minutes to share their findings. The other members of the group will add important information to their thinking map that group members are presenting.
PART III
Whole group share.
PART IV
•What strategies did women use to win the right to vote? Which strategy was most successful? What made it successful?
Use RACEE strategy to construct a short response based on your reading and group work.
